As many people may be aware, the City's memorial programming is over-subscribed and has been on hold for a number of years. This is due to in flux planning around the waterfront where existing memorial walls are located, the lack of additional space for new benches, deteriorating condition of the existing wall to those lost at sea, and the inability for the City to recuperate the costs of installing and maintaining the benches within the existing fee structure. Given these issues, there's a need to rethink the way we recognize and celebrate loved ones in Prince Rupert, and we are looking for your feedback.
We've reviewed options across other municipalities and developed this questionnaire to help you weigh in on what you'd like to see.
