The City of Prince Rupert is currently in the process of developing a Recreation and Wellness Plan. This important planning document will help build recreation to support resident's both today and in the future, and guide the delivery of recreation services for the City. Community input is vital to this process, and will help directly shape the future of recreation and wellness offerings in the future. This is a generational investment in the health of the people who live here, and the community as a whole. The document will also help us to better ensure that we are providing recreational opportunities that are designed with inclusion in mind.
The information collected will help the project team:
- Assess the current state of recreation, sport and culture in our community;
- Identify trends and residents demands for facilities and programs; and
- Help the project team identify priorities and focus areas.
